Toll Industry Veterans Join SR 125 South Team
(SAN DIEGO - June 2, 2005) - California Transportation Ventures, Inc. (CTV), the private company financing and developing the new State Route 125 South Toll Road in the South Bay, today announced the hire of Gary Thompson as roadway operations manager and Paul Adams, manager of sales and customer operations.
Thompson comes to the SR 125 South team from Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) in Orange County, Calif., where he served as manager of cash operations. Thompson's experience with toll roads spans more than 12 years. In his role at TCA, Thompson provided startup operational support for the three toll roads and oversaw three agency contracts worth more than $13 million. Thompson is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton with a degree in business administration and a focus in operations management.
In his new role with CTV, Thompson will be responsible for managing all roadway elements of the SR 125 South Toll Road, including supervision of toll operations, ramp building services, roadway maintenance, incident management, traffic operations center and courtesy patrol. He will also manage a number of field technicians, quality control technicians, toll operation supervisors, coin vault collectors, and courtesy patrol drivers, along with oversight of contracted operations and maintenance services.
Adams comes to the SR 125 South from the 91 Express Lanes in Anaheim, Calif. where he served as vice president of customer service.
With more than 14 years of senior management experience in the administration and operations of customer service centers, Adams has developed benchmarking programs that have led to several "best in class" rankings for the 91 Express Lanes by the Purdue University Center for Customer Driven Quality. His customer service leadership was also central to that project's receipt of the 2001 IBTTA Toll Innovation and Excellence Award for its Telephone Call Center Quality Assurance Program. Adams is currently working with Purdue University to develop a "best in class" benchmarking certification program for the Toll Industry.
Adams' responsibilities for SR 125 South will include managing all sales and customer service activities, including FasTrak™ transponder sales and distribution, the telephone call center, online customer services, mail processing and back-office fulfillment, violation processing walk-in customer service center and toll attendant activities. Adams will also play a key role in the design and implementation of toll collection and customer service technology applications as well as the design and implementation of SR 125 South co-marketing relationships, programs and activities.
"Our number-one priority is to provide first-class service to our customers," said CTV Chief Executive Officer Greg Hulsizer. "Both Gary and Paul are seasoned veterans who share this commitment to customer service. We are pleased to welcome them to the SR 125 South team."
